It also contains a  waterproof membrane to keep you dry in the wet. The PHORENE™ midsole provides cushion and energy return, while retaining its flexibility and bounce even in cold temperatures. A shank running through the shoe adds to the overall stability. The best part of the shoe though is likely the outsole. Made with Michelin (yes, the tire company) rubber, the lugged outsole provides outstanding grip on a variety of terrain.
